Picks of the Week: Utah State at Wisconsin

Grant Bagby 09/13/2012

Chesh: The Aggies are on a high right now. They’ve figured out how to close out a win and will be greatly tested on Saturday in Camp Randall. Wisconsin got completely exposed against Oregon State, and will be looking to figure out what went wrong on offense. This is going to be a soild test for both schools. I’m going to call my shot. I’m going with the Aggies to pull the upset. Gary Anderson will have his squad ready and Wiscy is vulnerable. Though it is a homegame, the outcome of a blowout for the Badgers wouldn’t surprise me either, but I’m going with USU. Aggies 23 Badgers 20

Robby: My “hatred” for Utah State is now over. They outplayed the Utes last Friday and deserved the victory. They face another challenging game as they head to Camp Randell Stadium to take on the Badgers of Wisconsin. The Aggies will be surrounded by just over 80,000  furious fans who will want their team to dominate after losing to Oregon State last week. I expect this game to be very similar to the Auburn game from last year. The one where the Aggies were minutes away from upsetting the defending National Champs and walking away with a win. Utah State will compete and give Wisconsin all that they can handle. I see Wisconsin pulling out the victory. Chuckie Keeton will play well as he seems to always do in tough situations and the defense will give the Badgers some headaches. I have Wisonsin beating Utah State 34-31.

DJ: Man oh man, I wish that Wisconsin had beat Oregon State. I genuinely believe the Aggies can beat the Badgers, ranked or not. Chuckie Keeton is a great quarterback, but is a little under-used. While his running ability is great, his arm is underestimated, especially on the run. I don’t feel like the coaches are trusting him to completely run the offense, and that can hurt them. He is a great decision maker, and I feel he has NFL potential. Hopefully they will trust Keeton to carry this team against the giant Wisconsin defense. While I still believe USU has what it takes to win, I think a reeling Badgers team will play with a giant chip on their shoulders and pull out the win. Wisconsin 28 USU 17

Daniel: I think the Aggies know they can compete with poor teams in big conferences. I don’t think the team that lost to Oregon State is the same team that will be playing in Camp Randall this time around. Watch for the Badgers to bounce back and just roll the Aggies behind the support of their crowd. Tough loss for Utah State following the close win over a battered Utah team . Utah State 20 vs. Wisconsin 35
