Riley Nelson came up big in BYU’s victory against Utah State last Friday. Was his performance enough to earn him the start against San Jose State this Saturday? Or should the Cougars stick with Jake Heaps, who had been in a slump all season? Charles Kano from TrueBlueCougars.com joined Dog and Deuce to wrap up coverage of the BYU/Utah State game and look ahead to this weekend’s matchup against the “mighty” Spartans.
Also, Tony Jones from the Salt Lake Tribune also came on the show to give insight into the Aggie’s perspective. Where do they go from here? What are the biggest worries for Gary Anderson’s team? How do they match up against 3-1 Wyoming, who travels to Logan this weekend?
What a difference a game makes for the University of Utah. Riding high after a 54-10 blowout of their arch rival, Utah wet the bed in its first home PAC 12 game against the Washington Huskies. Suddenly things don’t look so bright with Jordan Wynn out for at least 2-3 weeks (and probably longer) with a separated shoulder. Where did things go wrong against the Huskies? Can second string QB John Hays be effective enough to defeat a surging Arizona State team?
Plus, this week’s NFL picks.
