Construction at LaVell Edwards Stadium has begun.
According to BYU Athletic Communications, “The project will include state-of-art LED video walls in the north and south end zones, as well as LED ribbon boards across the top of both end zones.”
Construction is expected to be finished in time for the Cougars’ season opener against Washington State.
Here is what the new stadium is expected to look like (Before and After):
Before
- South Endzone Display: 17′ x 26’6″
- North Endzone Display: 17′ x 13′
- No LED Ribbon
After
- Size not yet official but up to 60 feet wide and 40 feet tall.
- LED ribbon running around the top.
